     I am an independent potter and teacher. I make functional hand-built and thrown pottery for daily use.  Working with clay is a creative process that has endless possibilities. I am inspired by the natural world and prefer simple organic shapes that are soothing to both the hand and eye.  Experimenting with different firing techniques produces beautiful and unpredictable results, giving each pot a life of its own.  
      As a teacher, it is a gift to be a part of my students' journey in clay.  As a potter, is gives me great pleasure to know my pottery will be enjoyed.
